My 28 year old daughter has had it pretty rough when it comes to the men in her life. Her 1st husband threw her out of the house after she assisted a male family friend by taking him to the hospital when his car broke down and he had received a call that his 5 year old little girl was in the emergency ward and in serious condition.
Up until then he had physically abused her and I forgot to mention that he threw her out with a 1 year old little boy.
Men she met slipped drugs in her drinks, and all kinds of other abusive actions - she had totally given up!!!!
One day while sitting at my computer I received a message from a young man close to her age and I encouraged her to say "hello!" That was back in September of 1996. Today they are engaged to be married and are in the process of building their first brand new home together.
He's a terrific young man, my grandson loves him, and the smile is back on both their faces! Don't ever give up! - He/she's out there - good things take time so don't hurry them!!!!!!!
