Personal Ad Success

Kevin & I met through an ad that I had placed in an online personals
website (match.com) on a dare. Both of us had recently come out of bad
situations and were looking for someone to be good friends with. When I
read Kevin's response to my ad, there was something in it that attracted
me; I think it was the genuiness of it. He also says that was what made
him respond to the ad. Although he only lived about 200 miles from me, we
talked online and on the phone for almost 2 months before meeting in
person. Neither of us were looking for anything serious - we were both
professionally employed and content in our careers - but the more we talked
the more the closeness grew between us. When we finally met in person, I
think we both knew there was definitely more than friendship there - the
attraction was incredibly strong. That meeting was almost 2 years ago. I
moved to his place about 4 months after meeting in person, and we were
married on September 19, 1998. When we first told people that we met on the 'net', they were amazed that it
actually worked. Now, we seem to be an inspiration for a lot of people who
are looking to meet that special someone without all the hassles that come
with regular dating.
