There were some unavoidable delays in my being able to move to England. However, my daughter Bethany and I finally arrived here on June 21, 2001. Reg and I were married on August 4, 2001, just three days after my 37th birthday. We didn't have a real formal wedding as it was a second marriage for both of us and neither of us had family to attend. All my family is in the United States and Reg doesn't have much family around anymore. And now here we are, getting close to two anniversaries. On May 30th, we have been together as a couple for two years. And on August 4th, we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Am I happy? That doesn't even begin to express how I feel. Reg is the man I have looked for all my life. And despite the first year of our relationship being 5000 miles apart, we have done fantastically well. Our children get along perfectly and we are a very happy family. I absolutely love it here in England. My life is better than I ever hoped or dreamed it would be. And we have you to thank. If it weren't for BBWCity, we would have never met. How could we have? We were meant to be together, we know that for sure. Hi, my name is Donna. I found BBW city about a year ago. I had a string of unsuccessful meetings with some of the men I met through the personals. They were all nice, but there wasn't that special someone. I had given up. Then one night, in late May, I was just in looking around. I wasn't looking for anyone anymore, just maybe a new friend to write to. I have always had a "thing" for English men. Don't ask me why. I checked the England ads, even though I live in California. I wasn't all that impressed until I found Reg's. He was so down to earth and funny and something told me to write him. Eight days later, after writing back and forth everyday several times a day, I realized I had fallen in love with him. I didn't know what to do. I wrote my regular email that morning, hinting at what I was feeling. That opened the floodgates so to speak. He had been feeling the same way. That night, May 30th, we spoke on the phone the first time. I heard his voice and I melted. We talked about a half hour. It was 11:30 at night here but 7:30am there and he was at work. When he said he had to get off the phone and I said okay, he said, "I love you, Donna". I was stunned, but I knew I felt the same. I said it back. Four days later he proposed. I accepted. On June 7th, he called me. He said he had to meet me in person. Two days later on June 9th he was here and we spent 10 glorious days together. We are truly soulmates. We are so much alike and so perfect for each other that we believe we have been guided to each other all our lives. My 13 year old daughter and I are moving to England in February where Reg and I will be married and his 14 year old daughter, my daughter and Reg and I will live happily ever after. We met on BBW City and I will be grateful for that all my life. How would I have met my true love, 5000 miles away otherwise? I have never been so happy.
